Angela

Co-Founder, President & CEO

Angela Dawson is a fourth-generation Midwest farmer and is co-founder and President of 40 Acre Cooperative, a farmer-owned co-op focusing on advancing the needs of black and other socially disadvantaged farmers. The Co-op produces proprietary hemp genetics, and partners with farmers to grow premium commercial Hemp and CBD products for various markets. Angela has several degrees and certificates in business management and has been a cooperative business developer focusing on food security in urban markets for over ten years. Before reclaiming her farming legacy and founding the cooperative Angela was a public health researcher, academic writer, and law student.

Harold

Chief Growth Officer - Harold is the chief project manager covering transportation, logistics and property management. He is a retired army veteran, and third generation farmer with over ten years hemp growing experience. Harold helps us scale our model and bring it to other communities while keeping us grounded in basic farming principles.

Davie

Lead Grower

Davie is a third-generation tree farmer with decades of experience in sustainable agriculture and cannabis farming expertise. Davie ensures the plants are healthy and strong and in compliance with all the rules and regulations.

Natalie

Human Resources Consultant

Natalie Johnson Lee is currently the Founder of Sisters In Power, LLC and a Principal Consultant/Certified Coach for the Power of People Leadership Institute. She is a fierce advocate for her community with a keen understanding of the complexities that currently exists in our society.

Her “down to earth” communication style and servant leader attitude allows her to engage the professional community as she currently serves as the Public Relations Chair of the North Minneapolis Rotary Club. This has proven to be an excellent channel for Johnson Lee to demonstrate her belief in service above self.

Her career spans the corporate, non-profit, faith-based and public sectors where she served as the Minneapolis 5th Ward City Council Member. Johnson Lee is a life-long learner, dedicated wife, committed mother/grandmother, faithful servant and a compassionate mentor to many.

 

Priscilla

Priscilla is a student intern currently completing her degree in Food Sytems and Sustainability. She helps keep the plants healthy and works behind the scenes on some of our social media platforms.
